Is it possible to remove some wrong belief from subconscious by hypnosis?

  • Hypnosis is the perfect tool to bypass the critical factor and install acceptable suggestions in the mind.
  • In this case the suggestion would be to delete the “wrong” belief(s). A simple example of a hypnotic suggestion to achieve this effect is by suggesting an analogy to a cluttered desktop. Highlight the file(s) or folder(s) to be deleted then right click and chose delete.
  • It is a good idea to replace beliefs rather than just deleting them. Following on with this case you can draw an analogy to a pop-up installation window or prompt on the desktop and click on new beliefs to install in place of the deleted ones.
  • An example of clinical use of this technique goes as follows for a simple phobia (lets say phobia of cats).
  • establish that the mind creates fear out of belief.
  • Agree to get rid of “wrong” beliefs
  • Induce hypnosis
  • Guide client in hypnotic journey through visualizations mentioned above to delete beliefs
  • Suggest “right” beliefs
  • Guide client in hypnotic journey through visualizations mentioned above to install beliefs
  • Guide client in hypnotic journey to the future where new beliefs create better outcomes
  • Emerge and end session
