Hypnosis to treat drug addiction is hypothetically structured as follows:
1- Explore emotional connection to addiction
How do you know you’re addicted?
When did you get addicted?
How did you get addicted?
What does the drug do for you? (Positive)
What does the drug do to you? (Negative)
2- Elicit and anchor safe zone
What are some good memories you have?
What do you enjoy doing?
Where do you feel the safest?
3- Detach emotional burden
Dissociation is a major therapeutic tool here
Regression can be used to determine sensitizing events
The rewind technique can be used to reprocess said events

4- plan for the future
Entrain stress management tools like tapping Or breath work
Focus on ego strengthening and specifically suggestions of love and safety
Activate other lifestyle changes like diet or excercise
ANY addiction can be treated in a single session. Follow up is about relapse prevention and going the extra mile. You get to validate your results and supervise long-term improvements. You also get to provide relief during the withdrawal symptoms. I suggest 3 weekly sessions followed by 3 monthly sessions for a total of 6 sessions. Do NOT be surprised by your results!
